Design Associate Manager
Job Purpose
Support and coordinate all architectural and engineering design activities across the project lifecycle.
Ensure design documents are complete, coordinated, compliant with project standards, and delivered according to the project schedule.
Act as a key interface between design consultants, site teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve design issues and support smooth project progress.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily with internal design teams and external consultants to track design progress and deliverables.
Monitor design submissions, approvals, and comments to maintain clear visibility of design status.
Review drawings, reports, and technical documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
Ensure proper coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, and other disciplines.
Identify design gaps, inconsistencies, or clashes and follow up with consultants for timely resolution.
Manage and track design changes, RFIs, and clarifications arising during construction.
Coordinate with site teams to resolve execution issues and communicate solutions with the design team.
Maintain records of design changes and ensure proper documentation, approvals, and impact assessment.
Monitor design progress against the project schedule and highlight risks or delays.
Support BIM coordination, model updates, and clash detection activities across disciplines.
Prepare design status reports, presentations, and updates for management and project meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in design coordination within developers, project management firms, or consultancy environments.
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design processes, technical documentation, and construction practices.
Experience managing design issues during construction phases.
Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and focus on document quality.
Ability to manage multiple design packages and priorities simultaneously.
Proactive problem-solving and collaborative approach.
