DT Applications Associate Manager
Job Summary
The DT Applications Associate Manager is responsible for managing and supporting enterprise applications, software development activities, and application infrastructure to ensure business continuity and operational excellence. The role oversees application development, SAP Basis administration, system integrations, performance optimization, and digital transformation initiatives while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver efficient technology solutions that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Development & Support
Manage the development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications.
Lead application enhancement initiatives and ensure alignment with business requirements.
Support full-stack application development activities, including backend, frontend, and database components.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure application availability, reliability, and performance.
2. Software Development & Integration
Develop and maintain applications using Python and modern development technologies.
Support application development utilizing PHP, React, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
Manage database integration, APIs, and application interfaces.
Apply coding standards, best practices, and version control methodologies.
Utilize Git and version control systems for source code management.
3. SAP Basis Administration
Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP environments including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and Solution Manager.
Perform system copies, client administration, and transport management using STMS.
Monitor SAP system health to ensure system availability, stability, and performance.
Support SAP landscape administration and technical operations.
4. SAP HANA & Database Administration
Administer SAP HANA databases, including monitoring, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and refresh activities.
Coordinate with database and operating system teams regarding capacity planning and system optimization.
Support database maintenance and performance improvements.
5. System Performance & Troubleshooting
Monitor application and SAP system performance proactively.
Analyze system logs, traces, work processes, and application issues to identify root causes.
Resolve incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Support production environments and critical business applications.
6. Upgrades, Patches & System Maintenance
Plan and execute SAP upgrades, enhancement packages, support packs, and kernel upgrades.
Coordinate operating system and database patch activities.
Perform system refreshes and environment harmonization activities.
Ensure proper rollback and recovery procedures during maintenance activities.
7. Security & Compliance
Support user administration, role management, and authorization activities.
Coordinate with security teams regarding audits, compliance requirements, and segregation of duties.
Support security remediation activities and the implementation of SAP security notes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and IT governance standards.
8. Backup, Disaster Recovery & High Availability
Maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
Participate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity initiatives.
Support high-availability configurations and troubleshooting activities.
Ensure system resilience and operational continuity.
9. Cloud & Infrastructure Management
Collaborate with infrastructure teams on servers, storage, networks, and virtualization technologies.
Support SAP environments hosted on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms.
Participate in cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure initiatives.
Coordinate infrastructure changes affecting enterprise applications.
10. Digital Transformation & AI Initiatives
Evaluate and implement AI tools and emerging technologies to improve business operations.
Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
Support digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Promote innovation and technology adoption within the business.
11. Documentation & IT Governance
Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system documentation.
Follow ITIL processes, including change management, incident management, and problem management.
Support internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in enterprise applications, software development, SAP administration, or IT operations.
Previous experience in application management and technical leadership roles.
Experience within digital transformation or enterprise technology environments is preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong programming skills in Python.
Experience with PHP, React, JavaScript, and full-stack development.
Knowledge of database management and application integrations.
Hands-on experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and Solution Manager.
Experience with SAP HANA administration.
Familiarity with Salesforce and SAP business applications.
Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
Understanding of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Familiarity with AI technologies and automation tools.
