MEP Cost Estimation Section Head

  • Prepare detailed MEP cost breakdowns and estimates for projects at different stages of development.

  • Prepare and maintain MEP cost reports, providing accurate cost analysis and highlighting key cost drivers and variances.

  • Develop and document the basis of assumptions for MEP cost estimates, ensuring clear justification and consistency across projects.

  • Review BOQs, design packages, specifications, and tender documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.

  • Lead and support the QS team in quantity surveying activities, including quantity take-offs, measurement, and validation of MEP quantities.

  • Review and analyze contractor and subcontractor quotations, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.

  • Conduct cost benchmarking and market analysis for MEP works to ensure the accuracy and competitiveness of estimates.

  • Coordinate with Design, Development, Procurement, and QS teams to identify cost optimization opportunities and resolve discrepancies.

  • Support the tendering process through bid analysis, commercial evaluation, and recommendation of the most appropriate MEP proposals.

  • Ensure all MEP cost estimates are prepared in line with approved budgets, project scope, specifications, and company standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in MEP Cost Estimation, Tendering, or Cost Control, preferably within the real estate, construction, or contracting industry.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A degree in Mechatronics Engineering is preferred.

  • Technical Background: Strong experience in MEP tendering and cost estimation, with a solid understanding of contractor tendering processes, BOQs, quantity take-offs, pricing, and cost analysis.

  • Industry Exposure: Previous experience with a main contractor or MEP contractor is highly preferred.

  • Additional Skills: Strong knowledge of MEP systems, market rates, subcontractor/vendor quotations, tender evaluation, and cost benchmarking.
